Sun Moon Lake, located in central Taiwan, with a height of 748 meters above sea level, is the only natural lake in Taiwan. The southern part of Kuang Hua Island is shaped like a new moon, and the northern part is shaped like a sun, hence the name Sun Moon Lake. The most famous sights around Sun Moon Lake, the Te Hua House, Kuang Hua Island, the Hsuan Tsang Mosque, the Tzu-En Pagoda, and the Wen Wu Temple and so on. The natural forests bordering these roads are good places for birdwatching.
The Shao Clan is the earliest clan that lived in the Sun Moon Lake region. The Harvest Festival, Sowing Festival and their special handicraft fair every year has contributed to the special culture of the Sun Moon Lake and the area preserved.
Wen Wu Temple is located on the shoulder of the mountain in the north of Sun Moon Lake. It was built in 1938. People were worried and the Temple Lungfung Ihuatang of Shuishotsun would face under water. That’s why they built Wen Wu Temple. The Wen Wu Temple is 2 (Lungfung Ihuatang and Temple) in 1. It was rebuilt in 1969. The port is facing the north. People pray to the Civil Saint of Confucius, the Military Saint of Kuankung, and established two temples of God on the Wen Wu Temple.
Tse-En Pagoda is located on Sha Ba Lan Mountain. It was built by Chiang Kai-shek in the name of his mother in 1971. The construction was very difficult because the materials had to be shipped across the lake and up the mountain. The Tse-En Pagoda is 46 meters high and has become the most famous landmark of Sun Moon Lake. Around the tower are beautiful plants and trees and there are stone tables and chairs for visitors to take a rest. From the Tse-En Pagoda on the look Lalu Island and Sun Moon Lake. Tse And Pagoda is an octagonal building, the three floors at the base are painted in white, while the nine floors of the main body are painted in gold and red. Tourists can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Sun Moon Lake at the Tse-En Pagoda. The tourist route to the Pagoda is 700 meters long. Along the trail there are beautiful trees and flowers, making it easy and comfortable for walking.
After breakfast we drive to Tainan, the ancient capital of Taiwan. Located on the southwestern coast of the island and enjoys a warm climate all year round. It is the oldest island, and now the fourth largest city. With its long history, Tainan rich historical sites and cultural heritage. We visit Koxinga Shrine, Chihkan Lou and Chimei Museum. Then we drive to Kaohsiung, the second largest city in Taiwan. We take a visit to the Love River and will then go to the night Lio Ho where you can eat dinner.
Also located in the southern part of Taiwan, Kaohsiung city is the island’s largest industrial center. Progress and prosperity of Taiwan, expansion and modernization of the city of Kaohsiung is a newly emerging international metropolis.
The center in the south, the Kenting National Park, the only tropical park of Taiwan. Founded in 1982, the park covers a total area of over 33 hectares of land. This is the most densely populated national park in Taiwan offers visitors a beautiful view of the typical Taiwanese country. Moreover, the national park includes mountains, forests, meadows, lakes, dunes, beaches and coral reefs imply everything you could wish for.
After breakfast visit the day Taroko Gorge National Park. Taroko Gorge is an exceptionally beautiful, narrow valley with a river deep in the mountains of solid marble. A road carved into cliffs goes his way past forested peaks and cliffs hundreds of meters above. Stops are made at the Swallow Grotto, Tunnel of Nine Turns and a marble factory. We go back to Taipei via the Su-Hua Highway and make a stop at the Ching Shui Cliffs and visit a craft center and gift shop.
